  • BOTL UPCOMING MAINTENANCE

Hi Everyone, as mentioned in my introduction post, BOTL needs quite a bit of updating, patching and whatever else I might come across. Over the next few weekends BOTL may be unreachable on occasion as I do migrations or updates, etc. Just be patient - we'll be back! I'll generally try to keep these maintenances until later in the evenings.

Just smoked a recently acquired casa torano "A" cigar. It is the limited edition one that came in the humi of 45, measuring 8.5" x 50

This is one big smoke! I dont usually smoke cigars of this size, and even tend to stay away from cigars 50 ring or larger. However, I made an exception for this beauty of a cigar.

Perfectly wrapped in a nice light wrapper, no prominent veins at all. Prelight draw resistance was perfect, even for an 8.5" long cigar.

I spent over 2.5 hours with this monster, and every puff was excellent! From beginning to end, it kept my attention.

Usually, guys that have smoked cigars for some time tend to shy away from cigars that are labeled as "mild," but sometimes its definitely worth it to visit a mild example. One truly has to pay attention to subtle flavors in a mild cigar as opposed to the "in your face" powerhouses that are on the market today.

This is, in my opinion, the very best example of an extremely flavorful, mild cigar. The best of the casa toranos, in my very humble opinion :)

Nice review. My first experience with a Torano was very bad. But it wasn't an "A".
Do you remember what it was? Toranos are really good cigars, and for pretty fair prices considering. I think you got a lemon and would suggest you revisit. Try a well-rested Signature, 1916, or Exodus Gold.

thanks for the review! never got into the torano. kinda like most CAOs, or most RPs. a basic profile that doesn't change a lot. IMO.
