  • BOTL UPCOMING MAINTENANCE

Hi Everyone, as mentioned in my introduction post, BOTL needs quite a bit of updating, patching and whatever else I might come across. Over time BOTL may be unreachable on occasion as I do migrations or updates, etc. Just be patient - we'll be back! I'll generally try to keep these maintenances until later in the evenings.

I am going to write this review as I smoke it. Let's see how this goes.

The cigar has a very oily wrapper that looks wonderful. Feeling up and down the cigar it feels somewhat soft but nothing bad. The band is very nicely designed. Prelight aroma is of mild tobacco, chocolate and a touch of cedar.

Started at 08:35 PM

I cut the cigar using my Palio. The dry draw has flavors of mild tobacco and chocolate. I think there is a third flavor but I can't place it at this time. Almost a hard candy taste.

First Third. The cigar is producing a nice amount of smoke and burning well so far. It starts with a good bit of kick on the retrohale but has a smooth finish on the tongue. So far it reminds me a ton of the BoTL cigar.

08:50 PM The spice has really died down to what I would call a medium cigar. The flavors have come out a bit more. A nice coffee with a bit of a tingle on the tongue. There are some cedar notes as well. Ok so I lied the spice is back lol. I am liking how it is mellow for a second then the spice comes back.

09:10 PM ash Just fell.

Second third continues with the same flavors but the spice has went away and the chocolate has emerged. Coffee is the dominating flavor. The cigar is smoking nicely still. I have only had on touch up to this point. The smoke is still average production.

Last third was the same as the second maybe a bit more coffee flavor. The temperature of the draw has increased a lot. I usually like nubbing my cigars and it is getting to hot for me to go any further. For this review I will stick it out and finish to a nub.

Nub. The cigar still has nice flavors that I am enjoying but the temperature of the draw is taking away from them. Throughout the entire cigar the burn wasn't razor sharp but always corrected itself. It is constructed very well.

My finally opinon on this cigar:

I really enjoy the flavors that come with this stick. It is defiantly worth a try for the price point of $5.45 a stick. It isn't the best cigar I have ever had but they are in my humidor.
