Fellas, I will be in Chicago on the 20th. Hoping to make it down to Casa de Montecristo by 2ish that afternoon. Should be there for a couple hours before the Blackhawks-Canucks game that evening. Would be cool if I could meet some of the Chi-town broskis, but being so close to Christmas and late notice, I understand how it could be tough. LMK.

Cool. My plane arrives at Midway at noon, so I was thinking 2 hours to get to the hotel, check in and swing over should be enough. I'm a country boy too so not familiar with traffic in DT Chicago. I'm staying at the Westin River North or something like that.

Just a heads-up... You'll travel on 55 to get to the CdM from your hotel in the city. Traffic outbound from the city is mind-numbing on Fridays. I'm not sure about the traffic at 1 PM-2 PM like you're planning. I wouldn't be surprised if there is some traffic. Maybe someone else from Chicago that commutes at those times can fill us in. I would be quick with your check-in.

If there is moderate traffic, I would expect a 40 minute commute outbound. I take this route a lot but just not at that time.
