Chicagoland herf - 24-June-2016

We really need to get together more often. so let's herf! We will try to set something up for the last friday of each month, making it easier to remember. locations will vary.

When: June 24th (friday). 6p - close, but i will try to be there earlier to secure spots.
Where: the Humidor - in the (smaller) AVO Lounge. (not the larger Ashton lounge)
Address: 225 E Ogden Ave, Westmont, IL 60559
amenities: they have complimentary bottled water and basic pop (coke, diet, sprite) as well as coffee. we will probably order a few pizzas. also, you can bring alcohol, but they have a 5$ charge for that (though in my previous experience, they have waived that fee)

note: Humidor is on the south/west corner of Ogden and Blackhawk drive. for those not familiar, they have a fairly small parking lot. see map below for parking.

I'm in! I'll be coming straight from work so I should be there a little before 6:00 as well.

Besides the $5 fee for booze (which I am totally okay with), are there requirements/expectations on specific dollar amounts that you have to spend in their humidor? Let's face it, we're all gonna buy something from them of course but is there a minimum?

Also… This is the first BoTL herf that Chaz has organized, SO MAKE SURE YOU BOMB HIS ASS!!!!

nope, no minimum. if you want, you can just act like someone that is new to the hobby and just get one of the cheap house blends and call it a day.
because i do not really trust B&M/Lounge humidors, i tend to bring my own to smoke. however, if im planning to smoke 3 of my own sticks from home, i will purchase 3 sticks from the establishment. thats just me, tho.

That's how it is for all of us, which is why we're such an awesome group! I almost never smoke anything I buy that night for the same reason but always buy the same amount that I smoke. I'm just really happy they don't have the same $20 minimum that the Cigar Lounge has.

Actually, it is. I remember when I hosted my first herf, @dscl was quick to point out that everyone should smack me for planning it. Since *you* are planning this one, smackage must be directed at *you*

Lol this is my second miss! Next time I hope I can make it. I'll be getting back around July 1st-2nd. Not sure, just depends on how long we take to drive back. I hope you all have a great time at the herf!

Yeah. Just kind of worked out that way. JD is at one, willy Herrera at the other. I believe tickets have already been bought by a friend of mine for both.
