  • BOTL UPCOMING MAINTENANCE

Hi Everyone, as mentioned in my introduction post, BOTL needs quite a bit of updating, patching and whatever else I might come across. Over the next few weekends BOTL may be unreachable on occasion as I do migrations or updates, etc. Just be patient - we'll be back! I'll generally try to keep these maintenances until later in the evenings.

...and who says there isn't inflation...

nice clock there!
I had to skip lunch for a few days, but sometimes you just need to make some sacrifices...

I just got an idea, maybe I'll use it on another or someone else could use it if they plan to make one... Instead of the random placement of bands, perhaps I might lay a layer of bands horizontally and then place a band, maybe of a more noticeable color, on the 3, 6, 9, and 12 or all if they're thinner bands? :scratchhe forgive the brainstorming "out loud". If you like it feel free to run with it, chances are I won't do another any time soon; I've been wanting to do this for four months lol

Pretty slick...someone was trying to get me to do this to the fan blades on the ceiling fan that's on my back porch now...still wondering if the wife would go for it :dunno:.

thebayratt sucked me in as well with his clock he originally did and here is the one I did with the help of an amazing brother who sent me a whole envelope full of cigar bands (since I'm new to cigar I didn't have to many to start this project)....

Thanks again brother for coming up with idea.... I love this new clock

Very cool. Hands are a little lost in the busy face, but cool none the less. This thread gives me ideas....
Ya even though its more for show then use I still would like it to be useful so when I find the time I'm gonna paint the hands so they stand out a bit more.

Just gonna get a small bottle of that model car paint with a thin brush and paint them maybe black with white tips or just all white or something.... not sure yet.
