That is cool! I was thinking about doing that, but for some reason I keep going through Otterboxes like crazy, so I wouldn't get to enjoy it for very long

I had to give it a shot, decided on a Drew Estate band case. As for instructions here's how u did it.

Used my sons acid free stick glue to glue bands down to case.

Applied multiple coats of modge podge with a foam brush let each coat dry then added another found at hobby lobby

Sprayed case with spray shellac multiple coats, found this at Home Depot

What kind of texture does the case have after the treatment? Can u hold it? Is it tacky or slick? Is it heavier?

It takes a day to dry and then it's just a smooth finish and if it did add any weight to me it's very minimal.
