Cigar Towne (Houston, TX.)

So I got a new camera, well at least new to me, and figured I would take some pictures of local B&Ms. Right now I don't have the best indoor low light lens. But of course that didn't stop me.

This is Cigar Towne located in west Houston, one of two B&Ms that are the closest to me. It has only been open a little over a year so they I give them slack on cigars they may be missing.

They have a decent size smoking lounge with 9 chairs, a large screen TV (although they keep the volume down and play music). The owners are really nice and do a great job keeping the area clean. They also follow everybody into the humidor to see if they need help. I'm not crazy about that but whatever.

The walk in humidor is about medium size for what we have around town, and there are a few lockers in it, but I don't know the cost. I think they are lacking a little in their stock but they carry enough that I can easily find something to smoke.

Wow, looks pretty nice. We have NOTHING like that around here...NOTHING. I'd kill for one place like this in my area...an area of half a million mind you, or more and we get shafted.

I found out recently that it is State law here in MA that you need to be escorted by an employee into a humidor (an area with exposed tobacco products).

This is in an effort to cut down on underage smoking.

Apparently at some point underage smokers were stealing cigars from walk ins.

Ive really only seen it enforced at 2 places - 1 told me about the law, the Other I just thought it was their policy to have someone in the humi with you at all times till I found this out.

Cigar Towne is a great place to buy and smoke cigars. The selection is vast and if they don't have what you're looking for, they will get it for you. This is the cleanest cigar shop in Houston. The owners make me feel at home every time I come by, whether I stay or take my stogies to go.

Not state law here, from what I can tell they really are just trying to be friendly and help people out.

Never been to the one in Webster, and its been awhile since I have been to the one in Sugarland. Are these the only two local shops you visit?
