  • BOTL UPCOMING MAINTENANCE

Hi Everyone, as mentioned in my introduction post, BOTL needs quite a bit of updating, patching and whatever else I might come across. Over time BOTL may be unreachable on occasion as I do migrations or updates, etc. Just be patient - we'll be back! I'll generally try to keep these maintenances until later in the evenings.

Those tickets are pretty spendy from my point of view. You could get a keg and tons of food for that much. The 40 cigars are hard to fit in after the beer and food though.

If my memory serves me the price went up from a couples of years ago but I had a good time. The food was great and the micro-brews a pleasant surprise. Meeting the industry people was also cool. Pete and Abe were there and threw me a little extra, also got to sit with Kinky Friedman for a bit. The band was solid and the raffles amazing. I missed a jar of OR Tat blacks in the jar by two numbers!

The cigars really were nothing to write home about but the company I got to hang with more than made up for it. The ride up form LI sux and might be the only thing dissuading me from the trip.

Hi, I have been going every year and its well worth the money, I get the VIP tickets and that gets you dinner the night before plus about 45 cigars and then lunch and dinner the day of plus another 50-55 cigars. This also includes all the beer (Microbrews too) you can drink and they had a nice casino set up to win cigars. They also hire about 20 young models as eye candy and have some great raffles. I have been to Cigarfest, the BigSmoke, and many other cigar events, and this tops them all. Last year I walked away with 97 smokes and not many dog rockets either. They give a much better quality smoke than Cfest or the Big Smoke and have better raffle odds. Most of all its limited to a few hundred people and much more civilized than the other two. You will enjoy it. They even have a shuttle bus going back and forth from the hotels so no need to worry about drinking and driving...a real good thing if you like beer!
