BoM Nov '12 & May '13
When: Wednesday, February 1st - Thursday, February 2nd
I apologize for the short notice but I will be near the airport, in northern Kentucky. Interested in the following:
* Meet-up if you're in the area
* B&M suggestions
Here are the B&Ms that I was able to visit during my business trip, which I added on 2/15.
I hope you find this information helpful or at least entertaining. I was able to meet-up with a few BOTL on this trip! But I wasnt able to visit a lot of B&Ms due to my work schedule.
B&M 1 Straus Tobacconist, Florence, CT - http://www.e-straus.com//
There are two locations with the downtown Cincinnati location as the main store. I had a few appointments in Florence, KY and the images are from that location. They had a decent selection of cigars, meaning that they carried a lot of brands with a few vitolas but not their complete lines. A perfect example is Tatuaje where they didnt carry any of the brown labels.
If youre a pipe guy, they had a nice selection of loose tobacco and tins of various cuts. The lounge was nice and, I believe, as long as you buy something you can use it at least, I did.
I would go to this shop for a smoke again if I was in the area.
B&M 2 Jungle Jims International Market, Fairfield, OH - http://www.junglejims.com/foodmarket/food-departments/cigars.asp/
I met elderboy02 and Patrick B at Jungle Jim's for their Thursday night cigar tasting, out on their Terrace. They had a cash bar and raffle prizes. Its actually a grocery story just north of Cincinnati, OH.
The place has a nice cigar selection/humidor but the grocery section is unreal... I ended up getting lost in there after the event, trying to find some dinner...lol.
Anyway, elderboy02 hit me up with some nice sticks.... and he forgot his Saint&Sinner coin, so he bought me a Yuengling lager, which I haven't had in a few years.
If I wasnt having such a good time I would have taken more photos. I would go out-of-way to attend another Thursday night cigar tasting if I was within 45 minutes of the area
