I stopped by Indie pipes today on my way home from work. The shop is not in a very good neighborhood. In fact, in 1994 my first apartment was about a mile from there. Someone broke in and stole a bunch of stuff and my pickup to haul it all off. 2 weeks later, the police found it abandoned in the residential area behind the shop.
All of their cigars and cigar accessories are 20% off. The walk-in is super tiny. Only about 6x6 with three rows of shelves on two of the walls. About half the stock is mid level DE stuff. UC, Nica, Isla del Sol, and KFC. Some Alex Bradley, and various others. The jewel for me though was 6 different boxes of 1502's. I really like their emerald blend. I picked up a couple box pressed lanceros of emerald, ruby, and black gold.
None of their pipes are on sale.
I spoke with the salesman for a few minutes. After being there for only a year, the landlord sold the building and gave them little or no notice, and now they have to move. He said they haven't found a new place yet. If they can find a place where they can have a retail space, and a place to smoke, they'll reopen a store. If not, they won't. He left me with the impression that they do the majority of their business selling pipes online, and that selling from a B&M wasn't a priority.
