So I did a home brew experiment with some citra hops. The only beer I had with them in it was a Sierra Nevada Torpedo Extra IPA. I liked it but the main bittering hops gave me more of a resiny pine flavor than I like.
In my recipe I used Simcoe for bittering, then for late additions I used Cascade and Citra split 50/50 for each addition. The hops taste awesome but I ended up making the beer a bit malt heavy for my liking by using too much crystal malt.
Overall the beer has a nice fruity hop character with a good bitterness. I personally like a little less malty flavor so I will try the recipe again with half the crystal malt I used.
Watch out anyone that's getting a package from me, you'll probably end up with a 8%abv IPA in there.
