  • BOTL UPCOMING MAINTENANCE

Hi Everyone, as mentioned in my introduction post, BOTL needs quite a bit of updating, patching and whatever else I might come across. Over the next few weekends BOTL may be unreachable on occasion as I do migrations or updates, etc. Just be patient - we'll be back! I'll generally try to keep these maintenances until later in the evenings.

looking forward to it! i've given up on caring about the ratings. the only thing it truly effects anymore is how many times i get to see the ducks on national TV.

I think preseason polls are ridiculous.

Check last years, and see how many of those teams finished below .500, and how many teams made the top 10 that were not even in the preseason top 25.

Final:
1. Florida (60) 13-1 1524 2
2. USC 12-1 1393 4

Agreed! No preseason polls. They are only popularity contests anyway. I don't want to make any Irish fans mad, but do you honestly think they are a top 25 team? That's just my opinion though. The polls get the juices flow and fans arguing. I guess that's what they are really for.

Let's see, Utah finishes 13-0 and ranked 4th, yet they are ranked 18th in this year's preseason poll. LSU is no where near the final top 25 for last year, yet they are ranked 9th.

BS, is what it is.

Well in college teams can lose a lot of players or keep a lot of players, so that factors in. I am not sure what Utah lost or LSU kept, but I would bet that has something to do with it. (do coaches take schedule into consideration?)

Tim Tebow played 9 holes at my golf course yesterday. He shot an 8. He's really good.

Can't wait for the Gators undefeated season that's getting ready to start. CHOMP!

Pac-10 Baby! Polls, schmolls. These are somewhat legit primarily based on hype though. Bottom line, we need a playoff system. However, I am indeed ready for some football!
