Cooler Modification

My cooler was working pretty well until the cold weather hit and I fired up the woodstove. Then it started having problems keeping the RH above the low 60's even with the 70% Climmax beads.
I did the dollar bill test and found that it really didn't seal well at all around the lid which was allowing too much air exchange and drying it out.
So I bopped on down to Wally World and got some self adhesive Frost King weather strip (closed cell Xtreme rubber) and ran a strip around the edge of the lid. It's now holding a pretty steady 69%.
It does make the lid not want to sit down all the way but all I have to do is put a heavy box on top of it and it seals great.
I just thought I'd pass that along in case anyone else runs into the same problem.
