  • BOTL UPCOMING MAINTENANCE

Hi Everyone, as mentioned in my introduction post, BOTL needs quite a bit of updating, patching and whatever else I might come across. Over the next few weekends BOTL may be unreachable on occasion as I do migrations or updates, etc. Just be patient - we'll be back! I'll generally try to keep these maintenances until later in the evenings.

Pre-light noise:
-Smells of woody-smoky, sweet molasses
-Pre-lights puffs detected a great draw
-left a sweet taste on the lips
  • At first the cigar is very easy to light. I expected a kick of spice stronger than the announced smells I inspected before lighting but not at all disappointed with the mellow smooth patterns of the smoke. The strength starts of as a medium bodied smoky/woody balanced smoke with caramelized undertones. The burn is very even and construction is great with no running/tunneling at all.
  • Halfway through the cigar keep a very nice ash and is still burning very evenly. I had no need to touch it up or re-light at all. It seems to increase in strength farther down the second half and turns more medium-full/full rather than the mellow medium in the starting points. Flavors becomes a little more rich in it's earthly smoke tones and the sweetness becomes more of a indistinct back and forth undertone. The change in flavor is noticeable however the smoothness stays consistent throughout.
  • Compared to the first and second parts of the cigars the flavor definitely becomes more bold to pack a punch. Never did I experience any harsh or bitterness.
Cornelius and Anthony debuted their "Meridian" line at IPCPR last year but are no longer in production with that specific line. Now using El Titan de Bronze in Miami to produce their cigars. It is said they will ship a new line called "The Cornelius" around March 1st (different line than this pre-release review). Cornelius and Anthony is definitely bringing something new to the industry and producing all new lines for us to try.

How many brothers have tried Cornelius and Anthony Cigars?

According to your review it sounds like it is right in my wheel house. Let me know when it comes in I want to try one.
