  • BOTL UPCOMING MAINTENANCE

Hi Everyone, as mentioned in my introduction post, BOTL needs quite a bit of updating, patching and whatever else I might come across. Over the next few weekends BOTL may be unreachable on occasion as I do migrations or updates, etc. Just be patient - we'll be back! I'll generally try to keep these maintenances until later in the evenings.

This is the plan so far and it may change at anytime. If anyone is in the area and want to meet up I would love the opportunity to meet some great brothers.

This is the route that we have so far:

start out
APRIL 27th or 28th from Knoxville, TN head west to Flagstaff AZ ,via 40w stopping at Route 66 historical stops and such along the way.

From Flagstaff head north to Grand Canyon , spend night there.

leave out and head to Vegas via Utah highway 15,

once in Vegas we will stay for two to three days

take 395 n to Death valley, continue on to Reno,

take 20w to 101n to Brooking OR visit the drive thru tree park on the way,

take US 1 all the way down the coast of CA to MEXICO,
stopping at various points of interests of course, playboy mansion, jessie james shop etc

HWY 10 E to PHX AZ spend two or three days there,

highway 10 E to 20 E into TX ( if time permits to SAN Antonio to see Alamo and then 35 north to reconnect with 30E to 40E) if time does not allow then just continue on 20 E to 30 E to 40 E

LAST stop will be LYNCHBURG, TN before MAY 15th,,,,,,,PARTY planned at JACK DANIELS on armed forces day ( MAY 15th) there.

That is copied from the email I received.

Anyone Interested?

That's a lot of miles for sure. If you do plan a stop in central Texas, let me know, imagine we could pull together a few like minded stogie bums who would like to hear about the trip to that point.

Sounds like a great trip. Get yourself one of those gel seats that are already broken in. You might want to consider taking 101 from SF down to LA and then I-5 from LA to Mexico. Get some insurance when travelling into Mexico as staying there at night may not be the wisest of choices right now with all of the gangland killings going on with rival drug cartels.

As it is right now I will be riding a 2009 Night Train that is new off the lot. (gonna do a short trip to the beach first to get the oil changed so on) The plan is really flexible right now and I won't know where I am till the night of. If you guys check this thread when the time comes I will post and try my damnedest to get a meeting set up.

Possibilities so far:
Threebean and Jwyatt (AKA the kick Jay's A$$ stop)

Was just tossing a quick update to anyone interested. The dates should be getting locked down soon. I should also have a road map within a week or so to better explain where we are going.

Hopefully I will get to meet some great brothers.
