... well, almost.
Was watching a TV drama tonight, "Medical Investigation" on NBC. The show is about the NIH and how they combat emergency disease situations. Tonight they were up against a strain of pneumonia at a research base in the Arctic Circle. The disease was fatal ... but two people seemed to have some sort of immunity.
The common factor found ... both of them smoked cuban cigars. Somehow this helped kill the pneumonia bacteria. The cure for the last sick person at the base was to grind up a bunch of cigars ... cook them with beef broth and then inject into the patient. Pretty wierd, but it worked.
This was only TV .... but it was nice to see cigars portrayed in a such a positive way.
