  • BOTL UPCOMING MAINTENANCE

Hi Everyone, as mentioned in my introduction post, BOTL needs quite a bit of updating, patching and whatever else I might come across. Over the next few weekends BOTL may be unreachable on occasion as I do migrations or updates, etc. Just be patient - we'll be back! I'll generally try to keep these maintenances until later in the evenings.

This is a three blade scissor design that used hinged aperture blades to evenly cut the cigar cap from three sides simultaneously with one scissor action. The unit is aluminum and stainless steel with exceptional construction. The blades are razor sharp, the tolerances and finish impeccable. For those that prefer the rigor of cutting their cigars with scissors this may be something you really enjoy using! For those not used to scissors you might find the cuts to be a bit on the ragged side compared to a guillotine. No matter your personal taste in cutter design, this is an inexpensive unit that is sure to cause discussion whenever you bring it out!

I have a couple and they work great...for a few months. They dull quickly and once they are dull, they tend to "pinch" the cap off in more of a tearing action then a cutting action. I love the look and idea but I have been less then impressed with long term use.

That was one of my concerns as well. Love the concept though.

FYI
They kinda suck I got one at the local B & M just because it looked cool. It has a ripping sound when used and not a clean cut at all.

Sorry
