  • BOTL UPCOMING MAINTENANCE

Hi Everyone, as mentioned in my introduction post, BOTL needs quite a bit of updating, patching and whatever else I might come across. Over time BOTL may be unreachable on occasion as I do migrations or updates, etc. Just be patient - we'll be back! I'll generally try to keep these maintenances until later in the evenings.

Thought I'd give my first review a try today.

Cubao #5 Toro 6-1/8x50
Wrapper: Ecuadorian Sumatra Oscuro
Filler: Nicaragua
Binder: Nicaragua
Smoke time: 1 hour 45 minutes

This cigar started out with a blast of pepper that lasted for the first inch or so. The pepper never totally went away, but ebbed and flowed as the stick progressed. After the first inch I started to get a nice sweet wood and cocoa flavors. I don't have the best palate to describe all the flavors, but the flavors I picked up were very pleasant. The cocoa flavors stayed around until the last third of the stick when it switched to a mostly leathery tobacco flavor with more spice. The burn and draw were spot on for the most part. I had to touch it up once at the very beginning. Construction on this stick seemed great with a slightly flaky medium white ash. Overall I really enjoyed this cigar. I t has some great flavors that I really enjoy and is fairly complex. This is the first on I have smoked in about six months and I forgot how great this cigar is. I will definitely make an effort to smoke these more often.

Nice review and pic's my friend, thanks for sharing your experience.

Try the Lancero too, it's a nice size for that blend.
