I haven't been able to sit down and smoke a cigar for review in a couple months. Been busy with the new baby. So this afternoon while I did yard work, I decided I'd make a few notes while I was smoking. Nothing fancy. Just a short, down and dirty, what's what...
Curivari El Gran Rey Prominentes
Size: 6.5 x 50
Filler: Nicaraguan
Binder: Nicaraguan
Wrapper: Nicaraguan
Visually no issues, looks like a well done cigar. Cap cut clean, draw was perfect, light sweet tobacco flavor. Sparked easily. These are billed as a full bodied cigar and I sure hope they're not using that to mean strength. Flavors were good though...little spice, some honey-like sweetness, little caramel. Burn was good. Not much transition. Last 1/4 or so of the cigar was stronger and that really brought it together. Good, but a little too mild for most of the cigar to be a regular for me.
Spark 'em and enjoy fellas.
