  • BOTL UPCOMING MAINTENANCE

Hi Everyone, as mentioned in my introduction post, BOTL needs quite a bit of updating, patching and whatever else I might come across. Over the next few weekends BOTL may be unreachable on occasion as I do migrations or updates, etc. Just be patient - we'll be back! I'll generally try to keep these maintenances until later in the evenings.

A very short review:
I was gifted this Curivari El Gran Rey (Prominentes 6 1/2x50) a short time ago and decided to light it up. Wow was I impressed! After doing some quick research here and reading up on the company. Imo these guys got this cigar line right. This truly is a cigar that has a ton of flavors partial to CCs. From the lightness of the cigar in hand to the velvety feel of the wrapper. Aromas were intoxicating, flavors of cinnamon spice, slight sweetness of honey, with oak mixed in. Although a slight bitterness showed in the middle I think this could disappear with a little more aging. This cigar impressed me tremendously and think the makers hit the nail on the head. Try to make a cigar that emulates all the qualities of a CC as far as flavor and not too much Nica strength. Truly a great cigar and I'll be getting more of the line to try. I just wish I hadn't waited so long to try one.:peace: Pick one up if you havn't already!

Concur. I'm almost done with my first box of the Emperadores (5.0 X 50) and love these! Also gone through a box and a half of the Gloria De Leon Fuerza too. Will definately be ordering more soon.

The Curivari brand in general is very good. The prominentes I didn't like but the belicoso I like a lot. Very cubanesque profile. I wrote a review of the prominentes on Cigar Inspector last week.

We picked up the Curivari line 2-3 months ago and have been nothing short of blown away by most, if not all of the blends. The feedback from the customers has been extraordinary, definitely blended with a CC palate in mind, but using Nica tobaccos! Love the 10 count boxes and the packaging. Great stuff. Check out Atlantic if you want to try some of the lines out. I recommend Gloria Leon (Yellow Box) and the Reserva Limitada Classica (Red Label).
