I finally decided to do something with all of the cigar bands I feel compelled to save. I chose the lid of my desktop humi. It’s not a high end humi, so no big deal if I screwed it up.

I’m pretty happy with how it turned out. I used Mod Podge gloss finish to adhere the bands, and then 4 coats on top.

Looks nice. Did you lay it out before hand or just start sticking?
I just started sticking. I worked from the front of the box, towards the back. I tried to save bands with nice square edges to use around the perimeter, and I did cut a few down to fit nicer without obscuring too much of others.

Nice, I haven’t used Mod Podge like in decades. I think it was in crafts at summer camp or something...
Lol. We used to let it dry all over our hands then freak out the girls when we pretended to peel off our skin.

It’s still around, it’s cheap, did the job, and the fumes won’t knock you out.

In all seriousness, I think it looks great. I think someone makes a humidor in this style. If I find it I’ll post the link.

Bands will stick to the tape and not metal - I can rip them off if I don't like it or want to change in the future.
That's what i figured. How wells that gonna hold up ya think? Is that how that other guy did his?

No clue on either question :D. The blue tape has been on that fridge for about 6 months now and still holding fine. I will be using Mod Podge for the first time as well(y). I need to start smoking more CCs so I can cover the CC-100 with CC bands and the AW-281E with NC bands.

This is actually where I got Mod Podge from. You can build it up then sand and polish if you want to make it really nice. I think the rough finish looks fine, as long as you don’t apply too clumpy.
