Old family friends gave me this pipe last night-- it counts as the first pipe I've ever outright owned. It apparently belonged to my friend's father. Considering my friend is 71 years old, and she thinks her father did not buy this new, this could be pretty old. It measures three inches from the outer edge of the bowl to the tip of the mouthpiece. It's clearly been smoked before (and frequently). The leather case says "FEC Genuine Meerschaum" on the inside. The pipe itself bears no manufacturer's marks. I can find no information online about "FEC" pipes-- except that some get occasionally put up on eBay and the like, but never with any comment to what FEC stands for or where they might have been made. Does the BOTL pipe community know anything about FEC pipes? More importantly, is a pipe this tiny worthwhile to fill and puff? Thanks, all, and Merry Christmas!
