  • BOTL UPCOMING MAINTENANCE

Hi Everyone, as mentioned in my introduction post, BOTL needs quite a bit of updating, patching and whatever else I might come across. Over the next few weekends BOTL may be unreachable on occasion as I do migrations or updates, etc. Just be patient - we'll be back! I'll generally try to keep these maintenances until later in the evenings.

I like my Palio (thanks to jfire) more than my Xikar Xi2 but I LOVE my Xikar scissors (multitool)!

I used cheap ones for years. After I didn't lose one for a year. I stepped up to a Palio. For me it's the best thing I ever did to enhance my smoking experience.

I have a Xikar... had it for quite a few years. I haven't had any issues with it.

But I've heard fantastic stuff on Palios. I have never tried one, out though, so I haven't be "converted"!

Had a Xikar for many moons and have recently switched over to Palio.

If you can find a good deal they can both be had for under 30 bux. IMO, the Palio edges out over the Xikar. Something about the way the blades and casing work together provides for the best cuts I have ever seen. (I will admit, though, that I was raving about the Xikar when I first switched...both great cutters)

I have the Xikar MTX multi tool and love it. Small, light and for someone that hates stuff in his pockets (especially on the golf course) this is the right fit for me.

Bought a palio and love it. Bought a buddy a xikar, so depending on where we're smoking I've used both pretty regularly and they're both great. I will say the palio does tend to make a cleaner cut, but the xikar has a cool action and a lot more style. Either way, you're a step above the dollar store cutter.

I've got a Xikar and a Palio. Maybe I'm just not good with the Xikar, but I find the Palio infinitely easier to use. With the Xikar I'm always getting a jagged cut and a split wrapper.

The other day I was outside and had no cutter ... being lazy, I just bit off the end. It worked fine :eyebrow:
