So did anyone fall in to the cyber monday trap? Personally I didn't buy anything today but there's still time. I saw that quite a few of the online Cigars retailers are having sales. Anyone find anything good?
Hi Everyone, as mentioned in my introduction post, BOTL needs quite a bit of updating, patching and whatever else I might come across. Over time BOTL may be unreachable on occasion as I do migrations or updates, etc. Just be patient - we'll be back! I'll generally try to keep these maintenances until later in the evenings.
Probably a combination of both.I asked quite a few people this same question today. All of them had the same answer. Nope! Is it the economy or hype?
You just talked to the people that didn't buy anything is all... from the news I saw, there was a lot more buying/spending this year than the last couple.I asked quite a few people this same question today. All of them had the same answer. Nope! Is it the economy or hype?
That's good news if it's true... But don't trust the media :headroll:You just talked to the people that didn't buy anything is all... from the news I saw, there was a lot more buying/spending this year than the last couple.
Well, probably neither...I asked quite a few people this same question today. All of them had the same answer. Nope! Is it the economy or hype?
Interesting...Well, probably neither...
Cyber Monday was named as such NOT because the historical internet shopping day falls on the Monday after Black Friday, but because it used to be that internet connections were much faster at work, so consumers would wait until they got to work on Monday to do their shopping.
Now that internet connections are universally faster, sales have dropped considerably on "Cyber Monday"
Makes sense that surely is true. Brings up a good tech topic..Well, probably neither...

We always (ALWAYS) get our wrapping paper, tags, greeting cards etc... a year ahead of time. You gotta take advantage of the day after clearances on xmas paper goods!!!There were some sales and deals out there but nothing that really got me excited. Could be that i only have two young nephews i buy for and nothing stood out, and if experience has taught me anything you can find pretty good deals a week or two before xmas when stores are desperate to get rid of inventory. OH and the best deal is on xmas decorations and wrapping paper after xmas, min 50% off.

on that note, we buyy a ton of next years presents in January. We also grab B'day presents for the coming year at this time as well. If something is 80-90% off, buy it , and it'll go in a gift bag for someone in the next year.We always (ALWAYS) get our wrapping paper, tags, greeting cards etc... a year ahead of time.
