Today i would like to introduce you one of my favorite brands when it comes to NC.

I´m not that much into NC and i am a big fan of aged CC, but i´m also aware that i´m missing a lot if im not that open-minded.
Because of that from time to time i´m testing NC. This time i would like to tell you about my impressions of the DAG LA MUCHACHA
Cigar: DAG LA MUCHACHA
Origin: Dom Rep
Ring: 38
Length: 5.75
Vitola: Lancero (nearly...maybe half lancero)
Wrapper: Corojo
Binder: Criollo

The first thing i really love about this cigar is the ring gauge. I´m into this trend about cigars becoming bigger and bigger. I like small cigars where you have to concentrate. The next thing i really like about this cigar is the look. The wrappers are still really oily with only minor dried tobacco oils on the surface. It is really dark and perfect build.
Even cold this cigar is really rich in flavors. Cold this cigar smells dark and slightly sweet with hints of leather. Cold draw is really perfect. It seems on the strong side, but i really appreciate this on thin cigars. So its easier not to overheat the cigar during the smoke.
It starts very complex, with a subtle sweetness. Dark and rich with some coffee in the background.

In the second third this cigar is becoming more and more complex. Roastet nuts are appearing and you can taste some espresso and cocoa.

At the beginning of the last third sweetness turned on again. Sirup and toasted nuts are dominant but take turns with cocoa and espresso and toasted dark bread. The final is vey mouthfilling, peaty with some leather and licorice aroma.

This DAG is a perfectly crafted piece of art. Very balanced and intense aroma. All that is finely balanced throughout the complete length of the cigar with an interesting and entertaining evolution. I really enjoy this cigar and it´s not like any other cigar from the dom rep.
I really recommend you this cigar.
