  • BOTL UPCOMING MAINTENANCE

Hi Everyone, as mentioned in my introduction post, BOTL needs quite a bit of updating, patching and whatever else I might come across. Over time BOTL may be unreachable on occasion as I do migrations or updates, etc. Just be patient - we'll be back! I'll generally try to keep these maintenances until later in the evenings.

on friday my dad had some friends come over to hang out at my house, he offered them a cigar knowing that i wouldn't mind. One out of 4 accepted the offer. I got home and saw my cutter had some tobacco in it.I didnt think much of it, maybe my dad had one of his cohibas. So I asked if he had a cigar, he said he had a cohiba and gave a cigar out of my box full of loose various cigars on the top rack where i keep all of my hard to find limited sticks and a few medeocre ones(crappy giveaway ones are on the bottom). I wet upstairs to see what he had given away, nothing special seemed like it was missing so i went on with the evening.. yesterday while putting together a PIF I realised that i was missing one very important stick that i have been saving For the beach herf or a special time.. my one and only tat black, i wanted to cry, not because it was gone but because the goober that he gave it too wouldnt know the difference between a tat black and some dried horse shit wrapped in a green candela leaf wrapper also his thing with cigars is it must be dipped in cognac or its bad. I just know this guy dipped it!! ahh poor tat.:frownno:

Any way the point of this thread is my dad said to find one and he'll buy it for me. So at least he's being cool about it

Way to step up Dave. If I had any I would have thrown one his way for sure.

Sorry for your loss Aaron, I would be rather upset also.

Geez Aaron...that is a nightmare! It's Murphy's law that if someone breaks into the humidor, only the best of the best will be smoked.

It does speak well for the Tat Black though...even people not in the know will pick it up.

I swear that is why I make it known to all my friends and family that they are to never touch my humidors. If cigars are needed, I will get them. I would so freak out if my humi ever got ransacked.

when my kids were in high school, i told them that if they ever decided to steal some of dads cigars, the ones to steal were in my cooler. they got warned never too touch what was in my cabinet. the warning worked.

when they got to be a little older, they told me how my son Joe borrowed a few cigars from me. He took them out of the igloo. Joe and 2 buddies went outside and smoked the cigars. about ten minutes later, they all turned green and were throwing up. they were all passed out on the front lawn at about midnite one summer nite.

For a moment I thought it was a hard to find or rare cigar that got torched. It's just a Tatuaje Black, lucky it wasn't an Opus Maduro or pre-embargo Habano, AF-13 or something of real value!

Back when I lived with my family, I installed a nice little brass padlock on my humidor to forestall this exact situation. Nightmare is right. When a situation like this occurs, why is it always a HTF/rare cigar that gets pilfered?

i wish i could say just a tat black but I dont have the money for any thing really hard to find or rare.so that black was my rare stick. though i do have a few sticks that i find to be too beautiful to just smoke without a reason..

seriously rite, the one cigar youve been holding on to, it may not be that big of deal to anyone else but that was my only one haha
