  • BOTL UPCOMING MAINTENANCE

Hi Everyone, as mentioned in my introduction post, BOTL needs quite a bit of updating, patching and whatever else I might come across. Over the next few weekends BOTL may be unreachable on occasion as I do migrations or updates, etc. Just be patient - we'll be back! I'll generally try to keep these maintenances until later in the evenings.

I tried my first Diablo Picante this evening. It is a petite corona size and comes in a box of 40 for about 80 dollars.

So, I went into this with a $2 stick expectation.

It met and exceeded these expectations. Nice dark wrapper, some veins, but ok for a maduro (oscuro?) wrapper. Good draw, slightly deliberate but in a good way.

On the light, it is slightly spicy on the lips with a deep sweetness, not overpowering but nice. The wrapper reminds me of a Partagas Black or LGC Serie R maddie flavor.

As we go, it stays pretty much the same, with the spice moving to the back of the tongue, and a sweetness mixed with a kind of black cherry or cooking chocolate flavor. I'm also picking up on some coffee bean notes.

All in all, a nice cigar. For the price, it is a fantastic 45 minute smoke! Go get some.

I personally am not a fan of these at all, but smoke what you like!

Btw, I just saw you're from Athens. I lived there for two years. One of my all-time favorite places

I did this review bc of the one day deal at famous- I had just gotten a box in and was asked about them. Figured I'd spread the word. Haven't had another yet.

This is my 4th year here (getting my doctorate at UGA)- it's a pretty hip town for Georgia!
