  • BOTL UPCOMING MAINTENANCE

Hi Everyone, as mentioned in my introduction post, BOTL needs quite a bit of updating, patching and whatever else I might come across. Over the next few weekends BOTL may be unreachable on occasion as I do migrations or updates, etc. Just be patient - we'll be back! I'll generally try to keep these maintenances until later in the evenings.

I thought I’d cap off my last day in Vegas with a cigar I’ve had before and loved, but I ended up not enjoying it the second time around nearly as much as I enjoyed it the first time. It had a nice, smooth, natural wrapper with great band presentation. The ash was smooth, white, and very sturdy. The draw was a little loose, but the burn was absolutely perfect through the entire smoke. The smoke was a little thin due to the draw, and I thought it was going to go out on me a few times, but it never did. This was more of a medium-light bodied smoke that had mellow woody core with a touch of light spice, and a little sweetness through the first half, which faded away during the second half. It actually got pretty bland in the second half, and didn’t really seem to have much flavor at all, which really caught me off guard. This smoke was definitely over powered by the McCallen 12 I was drinking. In the end it got pretty hot on me, but all in all was still a pretty relaxing smoke, although not the same smoke I remember from a few months back. This one tasted like it was very young, and was probably the dud in the box. I look forward to the next one of these I get to smoke. :hysterica

Someone just recently gifted me one of these smokes. I've never had a DC Max Stanford 90th before so I look forward to it (even though your review doesn't paint a very good picture).
