I attended a great event last Friday at Empire Cigars. It was for the release of the newest cigar to Dion's line, the Nosotros.
For those of you that have not had the pleasure of meeting Dion, he is a down-to-earth great guy, and he knows his cigars. We set around for hours and talked about cigars, music, movies and I also found out that the man is a coffee fanatic! One cigar that he was greatly impressed with is the Avo LE 10, he just loves it!
He and I were in agreement that the Illusione MK is the cigar to smoke and try if you want to experience an Illusione for the first time. He admitted that he always has a handful of them on him no matter where he travels.
I decided to try the Nosotros Corona Larga (6x46), before I lit it I asked Dion how he rated it, strenght wise, he feels it is the strongest cigar he has put out to date.
I fired it up, great burn and alot of flavor with a smooth easy draw. My initial impression was that I found it to be a medium bodied cigar. But, after I got about a 1/4 of an inch into it, it kicked up two notches. My final conclusion is that it is about 1/2 way between a medium to a full with it being closer to a full than a medium.
What really topped the evening off was that Marty (L8A) come up for the event, any time I get to spend with Marty is definately "quality smoking time" in my book.
(Dion is definately as tall as he looks, I think he told me he was 6'5")
