  • BOTL UPCOMING MAINTENANCE

Hi Everyone, as mentioned in my introduction post, BOTL needs quite a bit of updating, patching and whatever else I might come across. Over time BOTL may be unreachable on occasion as I do migrations or updates, etc. Just be patient - we'll be back! I'll generally try to keep these maintenances until later in the evenings.

OK, full disclosure. LP is gaining on my Tat-love and I have yet to have an LP stick that I haven't loved. That said, my expectations were high.

Thanks to Ckay for making this review possible.

First off, looks can be deceiving.

"Oh, look at me, I'm just a corona, I won't bite!" *rolls eyes*

But I'm beautiful and alluring, aren't I?

Pre-light aroma is wild on this stick. Cocoa off the wrapper, spice off the foot and a perfect draw after the snip. Wrapper is delicious and the pre-draw is giving me a kind of spicy richness.

SPARK

Yet another stick that is spitting out flavor right from the first couple puffs. Don't get me wrong, there's pepper, but with what I SWEAR is cashew and salt. Weird, I know.

EXCELLENT construction as evidenced my razor-burn and smokestack-like production. That said, it did not burn fast. Go figure.

At this point the RAT is going to the body with chocolate and pepper punctuated by some upper-cuts of spice and coffee. I am savoring EVERY puff.

This cigar DEMANDS it be savored till just before 1st degree burns on your lips are imminent.

My final thoughts are as follows:

1) I was so overwhelmed by this stick, I ordered a box WHILE I was smoking it.

2) I was impressed by this cigar's strength, richness, and complexity. LPs never get harsh. At least IMVHO.

3) I loved figuring out and savoring this flavor profile, like I do all LPs.

4) A picture is STILL worth a 1,000 words.

p.s. This thing snuck up on me like a Ninja and kicked my butt. Just short of 90 minutes and I was feeling no pain and a touch light-headed, with a big grin on my face, of course!

BOX-WORTHY!

I just happened to enjoy a LP No. 9 today. I guess you could call them related. But I have not got around to the "RAT" due to your review that time will be soon!:cbig:

Nice review Jack. I am glad you enjoyed and ordered a box. I've got a few resting to mellow out a bit.

Awesome review, bro! I've only had one, and while I liked it I can't yet say that they best the T-52 or the Flying Pig for me ... but that's just one stick. These things ARE really strong, not just in vitamin N but in body and flavor ... "extra full" all across the board. Not a cigar for everybody certainly, but I liked it.

Great review, Greek.

It's a great cigar, one of the few that I smoke down to the very, very nub. Even at that size it never gets harsh.

Yes, but don't confuse it with what I've seen being posted...as in LP9 Dirty Rat. It sports a T52 wrapper. Don't know why it's getting called an LP9. Or am I just crazy?

Nice review, Jack. Thanks for sharing. I've still yet to try an LP. I've got a #9 sitting in the humi.. Guess I've just been waiting for the right moment.
