DIY tube beads humidifier

I have read that most BOTL using beads as a humidification system uses small containers or nylon pouches. I just received my half pound of beads and wanted something a little more flexible.

There are bead tube humidifier on*ebay*and online stores. I figured I could do something similar with RyJ tubos, the mesh from a dollar stores pen holder and some window screen mesh...*

Here's what I came up witn. Anyone do something like it?
Improvement ideas and comments would be greatly welcomed.

Those are sweet dude. I was trying to figure out a way to use some tubes a couple years ago and all my creative mind could come up with was to drill holes in them. This is not only a way better looking way, but also allows more surface area of the beads to be exposed. Great job.

My only concern would be the same as ENV's… will that metal mesh rust?

Thanks guys. I had the empty tubos in a drawer and made the maths. It is easy, fun, and cost effective. Now I want more tubed cigars...

As far as I understand the metal used for the mesh is aluminium so Rust wouldnt be an issue. That said, I think most HF tubes are made from pond or aquarium filtration tubes and am looking at sourcing them for a try. Will post about it if I find anything interesting.
