Dogfish head 120 Min IPA
The Holy Grail of beer - according to DFH.
Ok,
So this beer is supposed to be served cool not cold.
I poured it out and it was very thick.
Not stout thick, kinda like a thin maple syrup.
Tastes much much sweeter than I expect.
Im told(again by DFH) the sweetness subsides with age.
It is fairly thick and very strong on the alchohol side.
The hops are very very light.
flowery, not the bitter IPA hop you are used to.
Probably cuz they are offset by the sweetness.
Im only 3-4 sips in, but this beer is VERY complex and very different from what I expect.
I expected a super hoppy beer.
What we have hear is a beer/cordial that is somewhat hoppy, sweet and floral.
Now it is tasty, but very very different.
If you find one pick it up just to try.
