Don Arturo Destino Al Siglo 13 (AF13)
Size: 6 x 46
Country: Dominican Republic
Wrapper: Sungrown
Binder: Unknown
Filler: Mixture of Fuente
Single Price: $125 at Casa Fuente
These cigars were rolled in 2001 and given out at various CFC events from 2005-2007 or purchased from Casa Fuente currently. There are slight differences between them in the bands, which helps distinguish what year the cigar was received. The one for this review was given to me today from a local retailer and was a cigar from either the 2005 or 2007 CFC event.

The cigar is rolled perfectly, firm to the touch, no veins with hardly any seams noticeable. After initial cut, aromas from the cigar reveal cinnamon and leather. Normally I would break this cigar down to 3rds as is the custom in these reviews, but with this stick it isn't necessary as there wasn't much change from start to finish. Starting off there was a little bit of pepper and leather on the front with cinnamon and a ton of cinnamon on retro. Towards the middle some cedar came into the flavors, but very lightly, just enough to notice. The last part was still similar to the first 2/3rds but with slightly more strength, but nothing more than medium at best. Throughout the smoke it left me wanting more and expecting more from a cigar of this caliber, but it never happened. Every now and then you would get a blast of flavor and then immediately let down on the next draw. Overall I would say this is a decent smoke, but definitely not worth the price tag if purchasing today. If handed one I would smoke it again, but it will never be on my buying list.
