  • BOTL UPCOMING MAINTENANCE

Hi Everyone, as mentioned in my introduction post, BOTL needs quite a bit of updating, patching and whatever else I might come across. Over the next few weekends BOTL may be unreachable on occasion as I do migrations or updates, etc. Just be patient - we'll be back! I'll generally try to keep these maintenances until later in the evenings.

This fairly heft lighter offers both a jet torch and a natural flame in one unit. The two flames are independent of each other, both in actuation and adjustment. The bottom holds the refill valve and two adjustment screws for the flames. The torch is lit by depressing the top button which slides the top cover back and starts ignition. The natural flame is then lit optionally by depressing the side button. You may then release the top slide, shutting down the torch, for a nice gentle flame. It offers good burn time for both options, but with no visible reservoir you must be diligent about filling.

Interesting product. What is the approximate cost? I didn't catch it if you said it in the vid.

Sorry to hear about the lost firebird, I love mine!

Upon Bryan's recommendation I bought one for $8.00 and I am very happy. I love the soft flame mode and it performs better and holds more fuel than my $55.00 Xikar EX.

Thanks for the video and tip !!!

Bryan, nice review and pic/video.

The concept reminds me of the Ever Torch Lighter, except they sell for around $50.00.

But the Ever Torch has the "Stripper's Ping"....very similar to S.T. Dupont's ping when opening.

What a timely review. I was just over at jwintoshs' house(he has a picture of me taking a nap on his couch in the middle of the game as evidence) and mentioned how I need to get a tri jet tabletop lighter since the airport stole mine and I think I shall buy this to hold me over till a good deal comes out on a bigger lighter. I also wanted to say your website is very informative and I always look forward to your reviews.

I bought one and it should be here tomorrow. I like the video about this and for $8 if it works for a year then it is good money spent.
