  • BOTL UPCOMING MAINTENANCE

Hi Everyone, as mentioned in my introduction post, BOTL needs quite a bit of updating, patching and whatever else I might come across. Over the next few weekends BOTL may be unreachable on occasion as I do migrations or updates, etc. Just be patient - we'll be back! I'll generally try to keep these maintenances until later in the evenings.

Jays secret blend (Churchill/lonsdaleish)

Wrapper: a dark toothy brown

My guess: Sumatra wrapper, Ecuadorian Habano binder and Dominican & Nicaraguan filler.

Starting out very sweet, a bit of heat on the tip of my tongue and lips, earthy laced with some zing on the retro. Perfect draw and burn line. I'm pairing this stick up with some of my special coffee blend and a gem of a movie pick... Joe Dirt 2...

The stick has a twang layered underneath the earth, sweetness and spice. Surprising me is a nice cream building into the mix early. The sweet just reminded me of a mouth full of skittles. Great cigar so far.

Gotta sip it slow, the spice has a chip on its shoulder. Half way point and I'm really enjoying this stick. A lot of candy flavors coming through. Good medium body, low side of medium strength.

The last third builds into a richer version of its already excellent self. The smoke was balanced and I enjoyed the shit out of the entire Stick. Didn't even try to smoke bad. Nice job Jay! You nailed it with this blend. Now spill the beans and tell me the whowhatwherewhen.

Well the sweet was played out perfectly. The little bit of heat was there but I missed the salt. It was an excellent balance throughout the cigar though because a lot of times a balanced cigar can get boring in that size but it stayed interesting the whole way through.
