  • BOTL UPCOMING MAINTENANCE

Hi Everyone, as mentioned in my introduction post, BOTL needs quite a bit of updating, patching and whatever else I might come across. Over the next few weekends BOTL may be unreachable on occasion as I do migrations or updates, etc. Just be patient - we'll be back! I'll generally try to keep these maintenances until later in the evenings.

Dual review Padron 50th anniversary (humidor release)
FYI this will be the most half assed dual review W.B. and I have ever done. But we were not going to do one initially as we wanted to just enjoy the cigar. But I felt it would benefit BOTL. So it's going to be choppy, very little pics and short and sweet.
Pre light/precut: Smooth beautiful Padron wrapper.
Pre-lite: Padron Anny flavor (serie 26th)
1st inch: Black pepper, leather and citrus baked goods.
1st: Fruity coffee VERY OLD AGED TOBACCO
(JFire)Thru the nose oily coffee (french press). Wb: Javaman would go nuts for this very rich coffee chocolate cigar....
Room aroma: Mesquite heavy, heavy very fine mesquite.
Both: You can puff every 2-3 mins and she burns like a champ.
2nd:
Room aroma: (wb) the cocoa scent (now) is actually MORE enjoyable than the retro... Also the room aroma while puffing is strangely different than the resting (ashtray) burn(wb)
(JF) This almost burns as good as a cigarette at rest. (Wb) couldn't agree more the const is pefect.
(JF) that purge really helped. (Wb) I just smelled caramel. (JF) I just tasted it lmao!..........

Still coffee, leather and some more caramel now. A very thin light coffee oil surrounding the palate.
(Wb) herbal almost like spring time floral herbal. Walking thru a Midwest prairie (Jfires guess....)
(JF) I just got a huge hit of caramel!!!!
(Wb) very dynamic, every puff seems to keep changing on us.
(JF) getting a long finish now.
(Wb) there is a LOT going on here. There is tea in this cigar. I'm not sure if it would pronounce itself with further aging. But when I smoked the millennium it reminds me of that very strong tea. But right now it's very light as a comparable....
(Both) black tea very pronounced in the ending of the 2nd
3rd: More tea at the start and a bit creamy.
Red wine almost like a berry quality.
Because of the sweetness/tannic wine.
(JF) caramel and yes some light tannic red blackberry thing to me.
(Wb) after you blew that last puff my way it's almost more enjoyable (room aroma) than the cigar itself.
Final: rich aged tobacco, leather, citrus, tea, fresh young tree sapling, cocoa, tart berry, HUGE caramel that went as soon as it showed it's face and red wine. Everything coming and going like a marry-go-round. The cigars always kept burning perfect and almost on their own. Literally 3-4 min draws were no problem. Room aroma at times was better than the cigar itself. Millennium room aroma a few times if the op cigar hit your senses.
Smoking time: 2hrs with one of my best buds and one hell of a cigar...... (That Sucaba doesn't suck either....)
Price paid: Who the fuck cares? Moments like this are irreplaceable with a great friend.
TY WB FOR THE CIGARS, SUCABA AND ONE HELL OF A NIGHT!
Cheers,
W.B. and Jfire
