  • BOTL UPCOMING MAINTENANCE

Hi Everyone, as mentioned in my introduction post, BOTL needs quite a bit of updating, patching and whatever else I might come across. Over time BOTL may be unreachable on occasion as I do migrations or updates, etc. Just be patient - we'll be back! I'll generally try to keep these maintenances until later in the evenings.

Well I broke one of these out after sitting in my humi for a month.

The construction was perfect. The wrapper was smooth and had only one real small vein running down one side. The draw was a little loose but very acceptable.

After lighting it you could taste wood flavors. As I got closer to halfway on the cigar it was a sweet taste like a faint rum taste in my opinion. The woody flavors continued through the whole cigar. I was hoping it would pick up in body a little as it burned, but it didn't. My drink with this stick was just plain old water.

This thing didn't really tickle my pickle. I am more of a full bodied kind of guy. Maybe they'd be a good smoke for the morning with a few cups of coffee since they're very mild and smooth. I will keep them and try another one again in two months or so to see if anything changes. If it doesn't I will either start looking to trade or keep them for my brother cause he's into mild smokes.

Just want to share I smoked one of these in the robusto size and it was much better in my opinion. They're still a little mild for my tastes. I guess it's nice to have them around if for some reason I want a mild cigar.

I concure with the corona experience. I've got 3 more that will probably go to house guests that think they might want ot smoke a cigar. I've only got one friend that smokes cigars and he might not even know the difference between good and bad.

Occasionally someone will get a little drunk and like the smell of what i'm smoking so they think they want one too. THis may sound rude or even unfriendly, but i hate to give a guy a really good cigar only to have him put it down less than half way through because he had a drunk idea. THis has happened on more than one occasion so i always keep a few "beer sticks" as i call them. This is where the Dunhill SR will go.

Well I just spoke to my brother today and I'm going to package them up and send them his way. He has a humi and said he'd take the cigars. Maybe he can impress someone with them and bring the cigars for a golf outing. The crowd he rolls with probably owns something other than a cigar with the dunhill name on it.
