  • BOTL UPCOMING MAINTENANCE

Hi Everyone, as mentioned in my introduction post, BOTL needs quite a bit of updating, patching and whatever else I might come across. Over the next few weekends BOTL may be unreachable on occasion as I do migrations or updates, etc. Just be patient - we'll be back! I'll generally try to keep these maintenances until later in the evenings.

I've searched for threads on converting Dupont's to a double flame and the only one I found directed me to lightersandpens.com. The email I got back from them stated I would need to send in my lighter to have them convert it.

From what I've seen of single and double flame Dupont's, all it is, is a little cap that that directs the flame out of two slivers in the cap.

Can I just do the conversion myself? If so, where do I buy the cap from (I've looked through a ton of pages through google and nothing is popping up)?

Thanks for you help!

My guess is there is now way to convert on your own. They try to keep thing proprietary, like their butane re-fills. There would not be a huge market for that little piece. Probably just easier to send it to Dupont. Besides it would suck to void the warrantee by using an aftermarket part.

I own an evertorch... it has a soft flame and a hard flame... love it!

click this link and check the video... it is the most amazing lighter. its about 50-60 bucks and is as heavy and durable as a dupont. high quality screw in fil lcap and flame adjustment. Heavy, has a nice ping. BTW, i do not work for them nor do i get anything from the seller or company.
