I smoked one of The El Botin Brazilia Petit Torpedo. 5 X 46. I have been trying some of the lesser known stuff to see if it fits the bill for more of an everyday smoke. This cigar is medium-to-full flavor cigar. It is a Dominican blend but with a dark, Brazilian wrapper.
Pre lit inspection had odors of roasted coffee, slight spice. Wrapper was a dark color with small veins, very consistent. Taste was essentially the same, but with a hint of pepper.
It lit very well and good even draw. Taste continued to display coffee, leather and spice, although not as spicy as I prefer. Nice cone on the burn which continued throughout the entire smoke. No real changes occurred other than more coffee and spice shown as I got into final third of the cigar. Ash was a nice light to medium grey with light brown smoke.
This cigar did not get hot to the touch until I hit the final 1 1/2", but remained a good overall smoke. It lasted about an hour and had no bad after taste. Overall this cigar rates as a 6 1/2 to 7. Draw was good, burn was good and taste was good. I will definitely smoke another one of these.
Hope this review helps!
