BoM January 2010
I just smoked an El Triunfador with about a year of age on it. When I smoked 2-3 month-old samples of these, I wasn't very impressed. It just didn't have enough flavor.
But now with some age, these are getting really good. Lots of flavor the whole way through, cocoa, spice in the final third. It's more refined and rich now, with a greater amount of flavor over all. A very nice cigar indeed now. Up there with PAM '64, WOAM, LP#9, and other truly great maduros. I'm glad I have more.
So if you can manage to hold off, save a few El Triunfador for a while (or just get some in order to let them sit). You'll be glad you did.
