  • BOTL UPCOMING MAINTENANCE

Hi Everyone, as mentioned in my introduction post, BOTL needs quite a bit of updating, patching and whatever else I might come across. Over time BOTL may be unreachable on occasion as I do migrations or updates, etc. Just be patient - we'll be back! I'll generally try to keep these maintenances until later in the evenings.

This 5×50 stick offered a dark chocolate, satin wrapper with a slight oil sheen and tooth. Very small veins and clean seams ran the length to a triple cap all packed perfectly. Draw was slightly firm with perfect resistance for an almost razor sharp burn all the way down, even after sitting for 5 minutes unattended. The smoke was extremely rich and thick with tremendous volume from the first 1/2″ down. Flavors were very rich and smooth giving the impression of nicely aged mature tobacco. The first third brought smooth tobacco with a slight sweetness and pepper, quickly transitioning to a light leather core and getting very creamy and smooth. Other flavors joined in later including a dry cocoa and a smooth creamy milk chocolate. Total burn time to the nub was 1 hour. Everyone NEEDS to try this stick, even if you think you don’t care for maduros! http://cigarobsession.com/2010/01/04/el-titan-de-bronze-redemption-maduro-robusto-cigar-review/

Thanks for the vid, Bryan.

Inquiring minds want to know... at least I do... what are your go-to smokes? I have seen tons of your videos, but still don't know what really makes you tick...

You said in your vid that you don't like to put your opinion in the videos... but I am interested in your opinion my man!

It's hard to nail down because what I like depends on time of day, where I'll be etc. But some things that are on my mind at the moment are Padron 1964's, this El Titan, the Pinar Del Rio Exclusivo, San Cristobal lancero, Decade...

I tend to like medium-full body, not full strength, rich creamy chewy smoke, cocoa and coffee flavors and not too much pepper. That's not to say I don't like other stuff some times! I really like Gurkha Park Ave and Rocky Patel Fusions when I want a good mild.

Well, you certainly have me dying to light up the El Titan I have hanging out in the Vinotemp... I have the exact stick you reviewed, and if I am half as happy as you were it should be a good smoke!

Thanks again, Bryan.

Yeah, I have one left myself, and want a nice warm day to have it! Did tonight's vid in 43 deg - and that's not fun here on the coast with a 57% RH seabreeze chilling you to the bone!
