I must say, very impressed! Never smoked one of these. Now I want more! Middle of road in terms of price but full-flavored for sure.

First third: salty dried meat, peppery but not in your face. Medum-Full Strength and flavor. I only get a tiny bit of leather and chocolate mentioned in other reviews. Draw is easy but not airy.

Second Third: PEPPER!!!! And Salty maple bacon. Aftertaste is maple-y when paired with Laphroaig Triple Wood and Vicodin (RX'd w/ broken collarbone). Strength is building.

Last Third - salty, dry leather. Roast beef. White pepper and turkey brine. Strength is Medium-Full-plus. Time on target: 1h 18m

Overall:

601 make some great cigars. Then again they are made by Pepin and I've yet to have a Pepin I didn't like!

These came out over the summer I believe. Yet to try one, will have to pick one up soon. Green labels are great. They also came out with a new 601 Connecticut cigar replacing the old one they discontinued.

Thanks for the revew.

This is one I've been wanting to try for awhile but I always forget about it when making a purchase. I'll have to try and remember to get at least a 5'er next time. Any cigar that's full of pepper has a spot in my humidor.
