  • BOTL UPCOMING MAINTENANCE

Hi Everyone, as mentioned in my introduction post, BOTL needs quite a bit of updating, patching and whatever else I might come across. Over the next few weekends BOTL may be unreachable on occasion as I do migrations or updates, etc. Just be patient - we'll be back! I'll generally try to keep these maintenances until later in the evenings.

So I couldn't wait a week or two to light one of these babies up. I have heard good things, and knew they were in my wheel-house in strength. I liked the only EPC Regular line cigar I have had, and lit a New Wave Brilliantes up this fine evening. I was hoping for something good to take the awsome news of my Mom having a mini-stroke today, and the wife with her...well problems, so after 30 mins of puffing, I found what I needed.
I am convinced this cigar has Cuban tobacco in it, as the flavors were straight CC. I was so impressed ! The finish was a little less spectacular than the first 80%, but it was exactly what I needed and wanted.I usually don't like Conneticut as it is way too light and doesn't have much of a taste for me.
I will be buying a box/boxes of these in the future ... thumbs up Ernesto ! :cbig::applause::thumbsup:

I had the EPC regular line once and I didn't think it fit my flavor profile. Sounds like I'm gonna have to grab a 5'er of these to try...and help fill my new 100ct humi!

Sorry about your mom brother. Hope she has a speedy recovery.

Is this his new Connecticut? Nice review, sounds yummy. I like the Short Run a lot and only had one Core Line but thought it was a good smoke too.

Had my first just this past Sunday morning and loved it. Yes, Nate, it is wrapped in a Ecuadoran CT - believe it's very much like the wrapper on the 601 Black, Oliva CT and Camacho CT.
Great cigar - lots of flavor, just a touch of pepper on the back of the tongue. Not a creamy CT, but the flavor is, to me, fantastic. Med strength, full flavor, med finish.

Love these in the petite corona size. Never gotten any flavor that I would consider Cuban-esque, but it is definitely good.

Sorry to hear about your mother, but I am completely with you on the New Wave Connecticut. I enjoy the rubosto size much more than the petite corona

Hmm...not too much of a Connecticut fan myself, but will have to give these consideration when I see some. Thanks for the heads up and my prayers for your mom.

It's not the typical flat mild CT you are likely used to. Guy who gave me one at the shop said something like they used the blend from the 2010 LE and put the CT wrapper on it, whether that is true or not I don't know, but I enjoyed it either way.
