  • BOTL UPCOMING MAINTENANCE

Hi Everyone, as mentioned in my introduction post, BOTL needs quite a bit of updating, patching and whatever else I might come across. Over time BOTL may be unreachable on occasion as I do migrations or updates, etc. Just be patient - we'll be back! I'll generally try to keep these maintenances until later in the evenings.

Nice review. I agree, this is an excellent cigar. I normally don't smoke many Connecticuts, but I was looking for a good "summer afternoon" cigar, and everything that I've tried from Ernesto lately has been been a pleasant surprise. This cigar was no exception, slightly on the mild side of medium, but flavorful. Flawless construction and as previously noted - a nice price for such a fine cigar.

The only thing that I didn't care for is the name. I associate "New Wave" with bands wearing upside down flower pots on their heads. If you don't get that reference, you are too young to be smoking good cigars.

I put this on my list to try... thank you for the review. I've smoke the 2010 & 2011 Short Runs and enjoyed them... I should try more...

Thanks for the review Doc! I have seen these at my B&M but pass them up because I don't smoke the Conni Shade anymore. I just find it borring and to light. Did you pic up any more flavor's then just sourdough?

Nice tobacco and nut flavors. No grassy or hay, like a lot of connecticut cigars. This is an enjoyable smoke - however it is mild or mild-plus. Don't expect a big hit of a cigar, it's subtle with nice refined flavors.

Had the churchill on the way out of VA Beach yesterday and I noticed a lot of cashew flavor with enough spice to keep it interesting.

I absolutely love these! I would recommend them to anyone who wants something that isn't the typical "connie" hater. I have never liked anything with a Conneticut wrapped leaf on it, but these are so different in a great way
