Go to Casa Fuente. I think you need to look at them as they have it and if you want it this is what you need to pay. They have been there for a bit at those prices so I assume someone must be buying them.

Buying things in Vegas is different. Buying thing in The Forum Shops @ Ceasars is really different. Would I buy an Opus for $50 at Casa Fuente. You bet your ass I would. And then I would sit down and buy a $15 mojito as well. Then I would watch some smoking ass, stripper by night, light my smoke and bring me my drink. Would i ever pay that much for an Opus or Anejo so I could smoke it in my garage? HEEELLLLLLL NO:nono:

It doesn't bother me when I see some hole-in-the-wall Mom&Pop B&M charge those prices for Anejos; it's another thing for a well-known online vendor to gouge like that. Small B&M stores can ask for big money on rare cigars because they're hard to find, and hard for most stores to get. It's a slap in the balls for a big company like cigar.com to rake people over the coals when the MSRP of these cigars is widely known to be less than half what they're charging.

Let's be honest, how many of us truly expect to get our rare sticks from Cigar.com or CI, we know better than to pay those type of prices. However, the average Joe was has just started really getting into smoking, has no basis for comparison and know of the elusive anejo or opus will gladly fork out that kind of money. From a business standpoint i totally understand, as a BOTL i am disgusted.

You would not walk into the Top of The Mark and buy a litre of booze an ounce at a time put it in a bag and take it home. You savor your drink enjoying the views and the experience. Same with Casa Fuente.

As for Cigars.com ...Caveate Emptor.

I overheard someone at Famous saying that they ordered 300k of Opus for this coming season - they're making a killing through auctions.

Not to defend CI - cause I won't pay those $$ unless I'm somewhere special, but at least they make affordable, many, many smokes...
