Factory codes

Do you feel that the particular factory a cigar was rolled in makes a real difference?

I have never really paid attention to the factory codes on anything I have ever smoked.

As Tom said, it most definitely can. The main mother factories can get the best tobacco, have the best and most experienced rollers etc. Meaning consistently higher quality cigars. You can definitely get some great cigars from smaller/provincial factories, but generally, if you have a choice when picking blind, go with the main factories, or "hot" factory codes. And some people are factory snobs and will only buy from certain factories. They're snobs, total snobs.

I kinda suspected that it did make a difference or at least many people believe it does.

I will have to start noting the factory codes in my inventory app and start paying attention to them and see if I notice a difference

From my understanding, the factory codes are changed frequently to discourage such activity.
The codes keep changing to deter buyers from demanding or rejecting a particular factory as it moves in or out of favour, since this causes stock problems for Habanos and their distributors.
