  • BOTL UPCOMING MAINTENANCE

Hi Everyone, as mentioned in my introduction post, BOTL needs quite a bit of updating, patching and whatever else I might come across. Over time BOTL may be unreachable on occasion as I do migrations or updates, etc. Just be patient - we'll be back! I'll generally try to keep these maintenances until later in the evenings.

Well Brothers, this will be my first evaluation of a cigar for you, there will be more to come. This evaluation is on the Famous Dominican Selection 4000 Madura 7x50. I acquired these cigars on an online action at the Famous Smoke Shop auction site. I paid $65.99 for a lot of 75 cigars. Cheap ha? Well I didn’t expect much out of them. The only reason I bid on them is so my Cosechero’s and Cuban Mistakes would have time in the humidor. I have two humidors, one has 200 capacities and the other has 300, both are full. I also have converted an old cooler into a coolador. I also have a tupador; well it’s made by Rubbermaid so let’s call it a rubberdor.

So here I was not expecting much, just a fill in for my Cosechero’s and Cuban Mistakes to get maximum humi time. When they arrived I put them in the coolador, but I hade to try one just to see if I made a good buy. WOW!!! I got more then I bargained for, they were absolutely great. There to good for a fill in cigar. I really love my Cosechero’s and Cuban Mistakes witch have Sumatra wrappers. 25 0f my Cosechero’s have Madura Wrappers. Did I saw I love Madura’s?

Now I hade to re-think everything. Now I’m smoking my Cosechero’s and Cuban Mistakes to give the Famous Dominican Selection 4000 humi time. I’m in a quandary, but it’s a nice quandary to be in.

So here is how I score cigars.
1. Look, Feel, and Smell---------------------------60 to 100
2. How well dose it light----------------------------60 to 100
3. Taste when lighting up---------------------------60 to 100
4. Taste half way through---------------------------60 to 100
5. Taste just before putting butt down --------------60 to 100
6. After taste---------------------------------------60 to 100
7. Cost verses how good the cigar is--------------- minus 5 to a pulse 5
Ad up numbers 1 through 6 and divide by 6 then ad in number 7

This is how the Famous Dominican Section 4000 Madura scores.
1. 99 ( the highest I have ever scored a cigar
2. 99
3. 99
4. 98
5. 94
6. 97
7. It’s not right to score them on the action price so I looked up the price they normally cost, ($45 for a bundle of 25) but I steel had to score them at a plus 4.
Total score was 101.67 that is the highest score for any cigar I have ever smoked.

So you may ask did I like them, (yeas). Would I buy them again, (I would kill for them).
If they ever are on the auction again, and I’m on line you stand no chance at getting them. I will over bid you.:nono:

The Vergianadeaux.
