  • BOTL UPCOMING MAINTENANCE

Hi Everyone, as mentioned in my introduction post, BOTL needs quite a bit of updating, patching and whatever else I might come across. Over the next few weekends BOTL may be unreachable on occasion as I do migrations or updates, etc. Just be patient - we'll be back! I'll generally try to keep these maintenances until later in the evenings.

A1 is a sexy little connecticut petite robusto, 4x52, with a wrapper between caramel and cafe con leche. the body has some wheat toast aroma, and just creams perfect construction. the preflight draw gives cool cream and cedar, with just enough resistance to be south of open.

the first impression is a midpalate smolder with a light spice on the nose, the thick chewy smoke bringing bright acidity and a chipper demeanor. there is a pleasant tingle on the palate after the draw opening into spice on the sinus and palate, moderate and quite nice. a real coffee and cream vibe on this one, and the burn and draw are just perfect, with good smoke production.

the middle presented bread dough, or german soft pretzels (salted fresh bread, all good!). the ash drops every inch, so like three times. there are some hits of toasted almond and pecan.

you can see a significant tear here. probably my fault, as i don't remember it when i first got the pack, but it didn't make a damn difference to this wee little guy.

at the end, the draw got really viscous, showing warmed honey and mulling spices, with some kind of dark undertone to balance it out. little gut got up to medium plus over the course, and through the hour plus burn time stayed good natured and amicable.

in the end, this was a SEXY breakfast smoke, and i really challenge anyone not to like it. succinct, engaging, and personabe. i think it it a jamie garcia RE new england? i know the garcias make three smokes I this vein, and am fairly certain it's one of them. whether or no, i give it a 92; while not a huge CT shade fan, it just did everything right.

once again, BIG thanks to morrisjohn, great pass, great pack i pulled, and great excuse to (eventually) write a few reviews. thanks for reading!

neat! not one i smoked, and markedly different from the corona i have had (admittedly, it was during a tornado watch, and i was distracted, but still...).

now i'm sad, i had hoped it was a regular production. o(
