I love Firefox, and the extensions are a great way to tailor your browser. That being said though, some of the extensions can cause memory leaks.
A memory leak is caused by a program not releasing sections of the RAM after the program is no longer using it, causing an overall reduction in the amount of memory available for the rest of the computer. Sometimes results in slowdowns.

This site has an extension wich can pinpoint memory leaks. Please, don't bring up the old "who watches the watchers". I think you will just have to hope that this extension does not cause a memory leak.
