  • BOTL UPCOMING MAINTENANCE

Hi Everyone, as mentioned in my introduction post, BOTL needs quite a bit of updating, patching and whatever else I might come across. Over the next few weekends BOTL may be unreachable on occasion as I do migrations or updates, etc. Just be patient - we'll be back! I'll generally try to keep these maintenances until later in the evenings.

Firestone - again!

Well, I'm packing tonight for my annual trip to Firestone Country Club to play golf with a customer and the boss. I leave tomorrow morning at 6:00 am and return Friday night. I look forward to this each year, and it's never disappointed in the least. I'll be thinking of you guys...

Have a good rest of your week and I'll try to post from there if I can find the time!

I think I'll pack the smokes first, then the clothes...

later,
Randy

have a blast!! btw, what's on the menu??
I've got a little of everything...PSD4, Monte Edmundo, HdM Epi 2, some 4 year old FDO Golds for the course, and some Ashton Aged Maduro's with about 4 years on them. OH, and one Opus X I've had for so long it doesn't even have a "acquired date" label on it...

Man, nothing like finishing the round and sitting on the balcony overlooking the 9th hole having a drink with a cigar. We're staying right on the 16th green - our rooms overlook it just yards away...

Have a blast. and best of luck.

I played there last year about 3 weeks before Tiger crushed everyone, including Rory Sabbitini in the Bridgestone. They had the course in peak condition. It was brutal. You couldn't see your feet if you were in the rough. I shot 93 and i'm a 4 handicapper (on my home course).

Well, I hate golf, it's a stupid sport...I'm putting all my stuff on E-Bay later today and buying new equipment. I figure I must have gotten all the good shots out of the junk I have!

So much for breaking 100...it was fun though; just colder than hell on Thursday. Overcast, high of 54, and windy as all get out! On the bright side, I took money from the boss! Friday's round was horrible, played like I'd never even seen a golf club - lost a couple bucks, but came home on the plus side of the bets overall. The course was in absolute perfect shape...they do an incredible job on this place.

I've played there several times, and it's always an amazing experience...the food is fantastic, the villa overlooking the 16th green is just out of this world. There's no place like sitting on the balcony of the clubhouse after a round having a Grey Goose martini with blue cheese stuffed olives and betting on guys coming down the 9th fairway (lost a dollar on a guy who missed the green, but who cares).

I wish all you guys could have been there...now that would have made it an even better experience!

later,

Sounds like a great time Randy, I have only played Firestone once and it was spectacular. I had a 5:30 Tee this morning at Troon and could only manage 8 holes before the three wimps I was playin with couldn't take the rain any longer. I had the first leg of the Nassau already spent, hmmmm I wonder, nah they wouldn't do that would they?
